Hello all! I have a tricky question: how can I create a VCD with motion menus. I want the chapter thumbnail to be a 10sec preview of the chapter. Thx in advance.

Dont think its possible to create a menu for vcd that is a motion menu but maybe if you create your own little video with the thumbnails in it, get it to play first infinitely it might work!

Actually, I just managed a 5 second motion menu, here's how:

You will need Ulead DVD Workshop. Use VDubMod to extract 5 second clips from the beginning of each chapter. Import them into a new DWS DVD project. Create one motion menu per project, and under Finish, click the play button. Click "Preview Motion Menu." The menu will render. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\Ulead DVD Workshop\1.0\motion menu (may be different and copy the menu stored there to another folder. Rename it.

Finally, use VCDEasy to assemble the project into a working VCD. Presto! 5 second motion menu on (S)VCD

hmmm didnt know dvd workshop could do vcd motion menus!! lol but then again i didnt really give that prog much chance, i dismissed it at first site of out of sync audio! lol

I wish there were a better program...I have been otherwise disappointed with it. It won't do VCD menus, you have to pretend to be making a DVD just to access the feature.
