Why is my computer running so slow since I download slyfox? I have deleted that and uninstalled nero and did a clean sweep then reinstalled nero and it is still extremely slow. It takes hours to burn dvds now where before it took about an hour. Also I was able to still listen to my music and burn now I can't do both at the same time. Please help me get my computer back to the way it was.

Downloading slysoft programs shouldnt have effected the "speed" of your computer. Which version of Nero did you install...Nero7 or Nero6 and which version of it.

I have the Nero 7 ultra edition.I forgot to mention that I burn thru DVD Shrink also. Thanks!

Hi dee361
Check and make sure you are still in DMA mode and not the slooow PIO mode. Here's a guide if needed:

If you haven't done a system defrag recently or disc cleanup do that also.
The more software/apps you have running will also slow things down - best not to multitask and shut down unnessecary processes while encoding and burning. Shrink is very CPU intensive.
You can also post your last Nero log (even though it was succesful Nero will still save a log) - just be sure to edit out your serial #.
It can be found at program files>Nero>Nero7>Core>nerohistory.txt
