Hmm says compatible or doesnt have any issues that can be fixed by modes. So is there a patch since modes doesnt fix it?

If it says that it means the game should work without any modes. If there's a problem it usually says what the problem is

Are you talking about Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi? Because looking at the site I gave you, it actually says "Either this game is imcompatible, or we have invalid data!"

What I can suggest is that try mode 3, as this usually seems to fix problems, if not then try modes 1 and 2 and see if it helps. As I don't own the game itself it's hard for me to tell if this game works or not :(

GAME WILL FREEZE RUNNING ON THE HDA 3.0
MAKE A DVD+R OF THE GAME( WITH Nero MODE 1)
AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MOD PS2 TRY THE STEPS BELOW::

THINGS NEEDED IN MY WAY TO PLAY BACK-UP DVD-5 GAMES::
PS2 ( NO MOD CHIP)
HDLOADER ( I HAVE HDA3.0)
MEMORY CARD WITH EXPLOIT ON IT (LINK BELOW IS A EASYWAY TO MAKE AN EXPLOIT)AND A LAUNCH.ELF FOUND @ SITE BELOW TOO.

YOU WILL SEE THE COWSWAP LOAD THE HD DVD HIT X IT WILL CHANGE TO READY TO USE COWSWAP @ THIS TIME USE THE SLIDE CARD AND SWAP FOR THE BACK-UP
HIT X ... WAIT ( 10 SEC NO MORE) HAVE FUN ...

WORKS FOR ME 90% OF THE TIME.
