xbox 360 not working HELP!!!!!

my xbox 360 was working just fine the other day. i then downloaded the new update that microsoft set out. then today i took apart my xbox 360 so i could do the firmware hack. after i made the boot disk, i hooked up the xbox 360 through a sata cable. turned on my computer let it start up the boot disk and then i turned on my xbox 360. the 360 then started doing a loud noise and there was two red lights blinkings around the power button. it was the two lights closest to the dvd drive. the ones on the side closest to the usb ports were just blank (not lit up). after that the xbox 360 just stoped doing anything but the blinking red lights. it didnt make noise at all. and you couldnt even eject the dvd rom. i then turned it off and unhooked it from the sata cable. hooked everything back up to normal and powered it on. it does the same thing. does any one know whats wrong and/or know how to fix this problem.

Sorrry to hear about your problem gamer17 but this is quite weird.
When 2 red lights flash that your system has become too hot. This makes little sense as you said you just turned it on-unless you accidentally messed up the cooling system. From what i have heard, is your system overheats let it sit for a day and try later. I am puzzled. Anyway, thats all i got. Post back and ill try to assist further.

i figured out what was wrong. i took out the 8 black screws and then me and my cousin brought it to my house from his house. on the way we moved it allot because we stopped at stores to grab some DVD DL disks and it must of moved something. after it did that red light thing we took the 8 black screws and put em back in thinking they might need to be in to hold something down that needs to be held down. i was thinkin it might be a ground thing or something. but any ways that solved the problem. it is working just fine now. i now need to bring it back to my house and try the flash again. im at my cousins house right now and he doesnt have a sata cable. so i will let you know how it goes. thanks for you help
