locate the power cable on the back, Unplug your Console at the wall outlet "This is important, otherwise you might experience shock, or A tripped breaker". Cut a 1/4 inch section of the insulation off, burn any remaining insulation of with a lighter to insure sufficient arching of both the positive and negative wires.
Next, you scrape a good pile of magnesium powder with your knife covering the exposed wires.
Okay now get ready, have the cigarette ready in your mouth within puffing distance of your new modded X BoX 360 power cable. Plug the console back in and poof, suck on the cigarette gently until it smolders.
Hope this helps, just trying to make a point. Its your console and you can do what you like with it, However you should never attempt to capitalize of backing up any copyrighted material, cause then your asking for trouble.
I believe that we can do whatever the hell we want to the things we own. Making it illegal to mod a console is like making it illegal to put nice rims on your car. (I'm also in Canada)
putting rims on your car doesnt quite have the same effect. i think it may be more practicle to think in terms of modding your odometer, splitting cable. i wont go into details but there basically is a definative advantage when something is modified. im also not debating the legality and ethics of these things because i feel that modding/manipulating..etc only becomes a problem when it impacts or harms the rest of us. modding/backing up your games should be your right considering the media used which is not bullet proof and the simple fact that you PAID for it, but there usually is great potiental for personal gains..which raises questions
