Using the COPY DVD command from Nero StartSmart, I got to this screen:  . I was unsucessful in copying a data DVD using two (2) different drives (an internal combo drive and a usb-enclosed dvd writer). Here's the log file:

So I tried to MAKE DATA DVD using Nero Express, it created a lot of temporary files in my local hard drive... successful in "copying" the source... but failed in the "writing" of the DVD.

in both cases, i used IMATION DVD-R 8X 2hrs video, 4.7GB data bought from Fry's Electronics

hmmmmm... i forgot to UPDATE my driver's firmware... it's been a while... current version is B02K... while the latest is B22P.
i doubt though if it will make any difference...
just want to provide addt'l info about my situation.

It will make a BIG difference it's not recognizing your discs
