greetings,
its been a while since ive burnt a dvd using nero vision and im sure that last time when i selected files to add, and that they were too large to fit on a standard dvd that nero gave you a pop up that said something along the lines of would you like me to resize (or reencode or something) so that they fit onto a normal dvd. not just the warning about my selection being too big and would i kindly do somethign about it. i am nearly 100% that this occured before the creat dvd menu steps.
i cant help but feel im missing something obvious here, and as i said its been a while since ive used nero vision. oh and im sure that i didnt have to use another application such as nero recode to do this im sure it was in the same section as the select your files step. i also know that i didnt use dvd shrink after just burning the too large file to the HD, but it looks like i am going to have to use this.

this is really annoying me it feels like im having to act like a complete n00b when ive been using computers for years *bangs head on desk*.
thanks a lot guys, nice to know i can always rely on you for support.

I don't know which version of NeroVision you are using, but some of those settings are now automatic. The more files you add, the quality settings will be reduced to fit on the media, if possible.

The graph along the bottom of the screen should show about how much of the media is being used.

Nero 7 v7.10.1.0
P4 2.4GHz 1 Gig RAM
NEC ND3550A DVD Burner

its odd though i cant rememebr upgrading i might have a log file for theat dvd somewhere ill look.

Righty my log from the first dvd says "[23:08:57] ExpressUI Running Nero Vision Version: 4.1.0.9" but as i said i cant check my current verson apart from i know its 4.
