Ok, first you take appart your controller using a T8 sequrity tors bit (which you might need to make fit into the holes). It'll be easier to use a screwdriver instead of a bit cuz you have to <grind the bit to size. After you've taken appart the controller, wetsand it with 800 grit sandpaper (to get rid of the grip) ...(wetsand= dip the paper into warm soapy water). Ok, so when the pad is super smooth, leave it to dry on a towel (don't touch it). When it's completely dry you apply the first coat of primer (not too light, but not too heavy). When that's done, let it dry for about 1.5 hours and then wetsand the primer wih 1000 grit sandpaper (just to get it smooth), after that's one let it dry and then do the same thing again (primer it and sand). When the primer is really smooth, apply your first coat of colour. Let it dry for 2-3 hours and LIGHTLY wetsand it with 1600 grit sand paper. Try to follow the texture of the paint when sanding. After the sanding give it a nice coat of paint (again) and do the LIGHT sanding thing with the 1600 grit sand paper. If you want you could apply another coat of paint after the second one and sand (but that's really up to you). Next you apply a coat of clear laquer, then let it dry for like 4 hours and wetsand it the same way as the paint, next do another coat of clear and sand as you did again. You could do another coat of clear, but as I said, it's up to you. When you have finished, don't touch the painted bits for about 4-7 days (you have to let the paint harden). When the paint has cured, polish the painted bits with turle wax or something to make 'em shine (and protect them from erosion by sweat from your hands). When you're putting the pad back together, if your buttons don't fit back in, then you'll need to use some white spirit to clean the paint out of the "button holes". Just be careful not to get the white spirit all over your paint work, or it'll be ruined! Well, that's pretty much it. Your pad mightn't look as smooth as mine, cuz I used 3 coats of primer, 5 of colour, then 3 or 4 of clear then 2 more light coats of colour and 2 more coats of clear (to make the colour look deep (you can't see that in the pics)). DON'T ATTEMPT THAT IF YOU'RE SPRAYING FOR THE FIRST.....OR SECOND TIME!!! I recomend Dupli-Colour paint, because krylon fusion (another popular-ish paint) peels. Also check out llamma and XS for great tuts and other stuff.
P.S. You can use the black D-Pad and thumbstiks from the old xbox s-controller for your 360's controller (they'll fit ok). ENJOY! lol

Haha, cheers for that m8, but I think fell asleep whilst reading your instructions, their is too much work involved! God I wish I had the patience to do that but I know I can't. And besides u said that i have to let it dry for a week, I can't live without playing wit the 360 for a day let alone a week, lol!
I'm from the uk, and u r in the us I presume, so can I airship my controller to u so u can spray it for me!? I will pay u £600million = $1billion , (i'm bill gates' adopted son btw, that is why I am so rich!)

Nah! You didn't waste any of my time. I just copied and pasted one of my posts from another forum. lol
P.S. You really don't have to wait for a week. 2 or 3 days should be ok, but if you wanna do it the safe way, you should wait for longer. And anyways, I could have bought a new controller for the money I've spent on the paint! lol
