Hi,
I have the basic xbox 360 console :)
I have created a bootable floppy with the required files. i have a samsung drive in my xbox. i have connected my xbox 360 dvd drive to my pc SATA socket.
i booted via floppy and typed in mtkflash r/m orig.bin
I then get " Port 170: Master/Slave a0 "
i need to select master but it wont let me, i cnt type or click master i have tryed typeing it with capitals and lower case. Nothing shows up when i tyype.
My instructions are "Now you have a choice to select SEC Master or SEC Slave: select master. The application should start reading the flash. After it's finished it will tell you to reboot the system "
Is there something i am doing wrong?
Many Thanks

then switch on the x360
wait 2/3 seconds and then press enter on your pc keyboard

waitsey, type msinfo32.exe in run. go to componenets > storage > SCSI It should display your sata card on the right, with Device PnP and a bunch of I/O port's. Take a screen shot of it and post it in this forum or email it to me at **********, i will hexedit the mtkflash for you. It will work fine after that.

open up hexeditor and then open your mtkflash.exe (unedited 1)
hit ctrl + g and seach for hex b3d0 ok.
now look along the line until you see
"06 11 49 31 ..."
they will be grouped togeter in twos, i cant remember if its 0611 or __06 1149
Anway what you see following down the line will be different then this
06 11 49 31 00 94 00 9C 00 56 49 41 52 41 49 44 00 00
change the series of points to the above.
NOTE: Changed values will be red, some will be unchanged, they will remain default colour. Save and run this, and you'll be all good.

go to google and type in hexedit workshop and download that...
once you type
mtkflash r /sata /m orig.bin
you will take your firmware from the dvd drive.
you then have to load it up in hexedit and open orig.bin (make a backup)
ctrl + g hex 4000 and hit ok, then go to edit >select block and type in 200. right click in the highlighted area and pick COPY
now click open in hexedit and load xtreme.bin and do the exact same thing but instead copy, paste. now put xtreme.bin on the floppy. and type mtkflash w /sata /m xtreme.bin, this will replace the firmware with the hacked firmware, and you're done

Right... i have the software - downloaded / installed / opened the program/opened MTKFLASH/ found B3do -
My line is :
0000b3d0:4d 00 00 00 00 00 06 11 49 31 00 94 00 01 00
Then line you gave me :
06 11 49 31 00 94 00 9C 00 56 49 41 52 41 49 44 00 00
So do i just replace mine with that you gave me?
there is 18 groups of numbers in yours and only 16 in mine?

your line reads.
4d 00 00 00 00 00 06 11 49 31 00 94 00 01 00
you replace only the numbers starting at 06 11 49 31
change it and numbers after, it will continue on to the next line
06 11 49 31 00 94 00 9C 00 56 49 41 52 41 49 44 00 00

It didnt work :( this is really frustrating. I dont understand what is goin wrong the instructions are so simple.
Alot of people are saying when the floppy disk boots they get 4 options. I dont get any, why is that?
When i type the command mtkflash r/m orig.bin it tells me drive not ditected. My xbox 360 drive is the only drive connected to the pc.
You guys are all useing the connectivity kit right?
Maybe it has something to do with my Sata settings. Could some one tell me what there settings are and ill set mine to them. thats the only thing i can think of.
Please help this is so frustrating :(
Thanks

these instructions are not for the connectivity kit, i dont even know how that noob thing works.
my instructions are for direct dvd to sata port on mobo, or in my case a sata card plugged into my pci slot.
email me your msn contact, to *********** and i will add you to my list andhelp you through it
