Hey guys, I recently acquired a network adaptor and HDAdvance 3.0 for my friend's V9 PS2, and it works fine, but have a question about the disc that's left in the PS2 when I'm running games off the HDD.

I've read from the HDAdvance forum that the disc stops spinning once the HDD, can someone confirm this? Thanks!

the disc should stop. To be safe, you can just eject the disc once you start your game.

Yeah a few things about ejecting the disc out after it's loaded:

1) People get lazy ejecting discs in and out after a while
2) Putting the disc in and out of the PS2 increases the chance of scratching the disc

Maybe I should try to contact the guys at http://www.hdadvance.com/ and see if I can get a definite answer out of them... :p

Um the disc wont get scratched if you eject it cause you dont have to pick up the disc and replace it in. You just have to open and close it i think thats what sly_61019 means.

That's also true. I've tried to contact the guys at http://www.hdadvance.com/ to ask if the disc actually stops spinning after the game is loaded, still waiting for reply, I don't even know if I'll get one or not... maybe it's time to post a question on the forum there :)
