Well when I had bought this drive to install in my gateway it burned DVD's fine at 16x-12x easy 2-5min wait tops now in my new home made PC with 2GB+ RAM 3.2Ghz P4 SLI video cards everything I could buy top end is in it, now when I go burn CD-R's its fine 48x about a 2-3min wait but with DVD's now some option mustve been changed when installin my new pc, at 16x its an easy 10-15min wait and at 12x a horrible 20min+ it does this with Nero 7 Ultimate and also Roxio and even the Plextor Burning software it came with here is the log file for Nero 7 on my 20min+ burn on 12x
