I need help to delete corrupt data!!!

I somehow corrupted my game data and i tried to delete it but it says it failed to delete data. I tried to just restart the game and get back to where i was, but when i tried to save where i was in the game
it would also say failed to save. I ran out of ideas, and i really need help.

only way to get rid of it is to format the memory card, transfer all ur other saves to anotha card so ya dont lose them then format it

You should be able to delete it using uLaunchELF or ExecFTP or something that lets you access the contents of the memory card without using the default memory card browser.

I've found the action replay format thing really dodgy, I'd stay away from that if I were you

It has problem with the datel memory cards - I've heard cases where some people's 64mb memory card was formatted using that, and afterwards it only has 32mb available.

How would i be able to use uLaunchELF or ExecFTP? All i can think of is to buy another memory card and copy my games to that, but i really do not whant to do that but i am not sure how to use those other things, i dont know that much about using those things.

wait, you can format your memory card using action replay max? how? where? does it work ok with the official sony 8mb memory card?

You can, but I've never been a big fan of action replay's memory card utilities, just stick with uLaunchELF would be your best bet

uLaunchELF is like this great multitasker program that I use for all my file management, I hardly do a format on my MC though (done it to the old Sony 8MB one but haven't done that to the 64MB one as of yet). Can you remimd me again why you wanted to format your MC and not just delete a certain file? Cos if you just wanted to get rid of corrupt data, you can just delete the one or two file(s) in uLaunchELF

Sometimes, if you leave the corrupted data on the memory card for long enough, the ps2 lets you delete it as this has happened to me a couple of times and i have got rid of the corrupted data without ever formatting the card.

I Still dont know how to format my memory card!! I dont even know how to use uLaunchELF or ExecFTP or in fact, wat they even are.

do you have an action replay max? mod chip or swap magic? cause you can use action replay to format your memory card. if you dont have action replay you can burn it (if you have mod chip or swap magic). ulaunch would be your last resort to format your memory card because its the hardest to do. you would have to find a tutorial that tells you how to exploit your memory card. then you get ulaunch to work and from there you put the memory card formatter on a flash drive (assuming you have one) and format your MC.
