Hey, im trying to rip to my external and i can using DVD decryter but the file is so large (11 gigs or something crazy like that). Also the movie is about 8 segments of 14 mins. And this is after using DVD shrink. I can burn it to a blank DVD no problem. Is there anyway i compress the dvd so i can keep the movie on my external without taking up so much room?

Welcome to aD!
Dual layer discs only hold around 7.95 gig so I'm thinking you're either ripping a 2 sided disc or maybe the 11 meg counts the files ripped by decrypter and then the ones done by shrink?
Shrink you would be one to compress the file to a DVD5(4.38). Just check and make sure you have it the target size set to DVD5.
When you use shrink you can just select it to save to the external drive.
