ok i know ill probably get flamed but personaly i dont give a fuck

ok, when you all talk about burning dvd's of ps2 games using dvdecryptor or magic ISO or whatever you use. is it really all that clean cut
for instance if i wanted to copy kingdom harts 2, could i do it with only a non-modified ps2 and a dvd+R/RW burner or is there a more complex aproch required?

No, you must have a modded ps2 (modchip or swap magic boot discs). Burining the games is straight foward though. Also, there is nothing wrong with your question, the only reason you might get flamed is because of your swearing.

Like sly_61019 said you need some way to boot backups, look in the sticky for this. As for copying games, have a look in my sig. for a link on how this is done.

best solution is to get a GOOD modchip installed.
Then all of the games you wnt to back up will be easy
as pie. Swap magic you will be able to do about 90% of them real easy
but others will require some special methods so they will work.
as long as you do your homework on modchips, quality media & dvd burners for your PC you'll be just fine. Too many people jump in without doing that.

Yeah, I was one of those people >< although it was good that the mistake I made was to use bad media, which is ok because they are now serving as my backup copy of my backups, so if I ever scratch my backups (which I will from the way I treat things), I can extract the data from my backup-backups :)

i dont have a modded system

and i use / i paid

swapmagic 3.6 (32$)
slide card (included)
FujiFilm DVD-R (20$ - 50pk)

i use alcohol 120%

step 1 image making wizard
(make an image of the original)

step 2 image burning wizard
(i burn at 2x because i have a crappy outdated burner)


thats as clean as it gets

other information just search it like how to patch it for online or rebuilding games... (most games do not need to be rebuilt)
