I have a computer running on Windows Media Center and I have a tv card on it. I taped a show from tv onto my hard drive and Im wondering if it is possible to take that show and put it on dvd and edit out the commercials and stuff to make a dvd out of it? I dont know what the format is it just says Microsoft Recorded TV Show. If I can do those things what programs do I need? THanks in advance

What is the file extension, .avi, mpeg? If you don't have file extensions turned on then browse to the folder where your file is, Tools, Folder Options, View, then uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".
Once you know the file type then you'll know what you have to do to burn it to DVD.

it will allow you to convert to mpeg2.

You can then author with any program you want. Also check the guides section of this site for more info on converting to dvd.
