Hi,

I have just upgraded to a new machine which is running WinXP Pro (SP2). On my previous machine running Win98SE Streambox worked faultlessly. Under XP everything is sweet except that XP does not initiate a Dial-Up when StreamBox is scheduled to download a stream. Internet Explorer on the XP machine does initiate a Dial-Up if I request a page refesh/new URL or simply start IE with a URL. I am sure this is an XP thing but I cannot find anything in the newsgroups about Dial-Up problems except related to browsers.

If I initiate a dial-up manually and then, in a few minutes, StreamBox is scheduled to start downloading, everything is just fine, but I cannot seem to get StreamBox to tell XP to get that modem dialling on its own. I do most of my downloading overnight to avoid tying up the phone line so the loss of scheduling is a bit of a pain.

As XP has been out there a wee while I wondered if anyone in the StreamBox world has experienced and solved this dial-up issue.
