During E3, Nintendo showed off the Wii controller's point and shoot ability with a "Shooting Tech Demo" which was reminicent of the old Duck Hunt Game for the NES. Do you think they will expand this tech demo and turn it into the next generation Duck Hunt? With a bit of work, I think they could make a full featured game out of it.

albeit, GBA never had any real competition, but all the other's have.
Seeing how the Wii is sort of the home console version of the DS, I don't think it's far-fetched to say that the Wii will sell fairly well.

new IP coming to the wii from nintendo: Project HAMMER and Disaster: Day of Crisis. Furthermore, the Wii in general is a new idea. If anything, Nintendo should be at the bottom of your list for companies "running out of ideas".

I loved duck hunt when I was a kid.1 game came with my nes back in the day it had super mario brothers, clay pigeons, and duck hunt all on one disk.It also included an orange gun and extra controller(bundle?).That was my first system and the first game I ever played.

It was funny how the dog would make fun of you when you lost. They should do it, espesially now that they have the wiimote they wouldn't need the tacky gun.Maybe a cabela's slash fps.I think they will that was their purpose for showing it at e3.

That's always been their strong point*** exclusives ***so much so that I think they may be reliving the past to much these days.

LMAO at that statement. I remember when people were saying DS is dumb and all that, yet they have already sold 20 million and im looking for that to double with the DS Lite. id be really surprised if the psp will ever sell that much, or a microsoft portable...

PS: bring back the Sega dreamcast :)

I don't .The ds was quit hyped and came out before psp.Everyone was talking about the 2 screens,a touchscreen,wifi...etc all this innovation.

Be prepared to be surprised then! knowone ever thought sony would do what it did to nintendo when ps1 first came out. This is sony's first handheld and they already sold 11 millions units. The ds has a huge library of past gameboy games do to it's backwards compatibility.Sony had none.

Right on! But screw dreamcast it couldn't compete in today's market. How about a new dreamcast 2!

ahh, you are very correct. the psp is working from scratch which i failed to remember. nintendo has games that people only buy nintenedo systems for, such as mario, dk, zelda etc. which has a huge influence in my opinion, therefore i am saying that u are correct and that sony had a disadvantage. i do however think, that there games are overpriced, and not really that great ;)

True...I think that there library is getting better though.Ds didn't just have previous game boy stuff too it has old console ports like mario 64...

Yeah I don't want to talk sony here though cause I know this is for wii fans.So sorry everyone.

Was just browsing EB Games, and you can pre-order Duck Hunt! For a while I was afraid it wouldn't be a full title, and just part of a tech demo pack in, but this instills a bit of hope ^_^

http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=T000521

release date set at March 30, 2007 .. but I wouldn't put much faith in that date, since not even the release date for the console has been announced.

Take this as you will, but in a recent interview Miyamoto said "I'm also working on the product that was referred to as 'Remote Pointer Demo' at E3."

Perhapse turning it into a full game? =)
