I have burned a game i have,i burned it with CloneCD version 5.4
after the burn, tryied to load it in the console but it wont load. i tryied other methodes i saw that could help, but no good. i used Verbatim DVD+R media, and i have the LG drive i think in the XBOX, it was with frimware 46D. I Read in some posts that it may help to update the Burnere FW. i have a LG burner, GSA-4163B. I changed the firmware of the burner from A103 to A105, sadly i don`t have any more DVD`s to burn and try, could the burner update of the FW help?
did you merge the ss with the iso? if u did try this trick. take out the hard drive then put the game in and restart the console. when the ring of light goes around on the boot screen put the hard drive in and it will reset and read the disk. this works everytime for me and sometimes i dont have to worry about it. but with out the ss's nothing will work.
