I burnt the ISO at 1x speed and the game itself runs fine.

Its just the opening sequence's music skips. Normally this isn't a big deal but I actually like the opening sequence's music. So, anyone else have this problem?

Depending on the speed of your DVD's, you might want to burn it at a higher speed. That could erase the lag at the beginning.

*If your media is 8X, burn it at 4X; 4X, burn at 2X, etc.

I agree, unless your discs are 2X then you are setting your burn speed too low.
I did mine on an 8X DVD-R and burned at 4X and it was flawless.

Hm...only reason I burned this game slowly was because the data must be constantly streamed off the disc for a game such as this (so having it well-burnt is usually good, I f'ed up my first attempt at burning GTA:SA so I wanted to make sure this GTA was done right the first time). I'll try it on a higher speed.

have burned this game on sony +r at 4x and also verbatim -R at 4x with no problems but this game will not work with hd advance even when rebuilt which drops the toc to 1.9 gig for some reason.
tried various modes but with no luck (only works with swap magic)

Hm...I reburned it at a higher speed but I still couldn't remove all the skipping.

Oh well, I guess it won't be perfect (I'd rather not waste anymore DVD-Rs).

That never seemed to be an issue before.

Besides, 3 burns and I still can't get rid of ALL the skipping (the 3rd one was the best yet but its still got one hiccup) sounds like its more an issue with the ISO (even though I ripped it directly from the disc).

all i can say is it should not do that if the file was good and you used good DVD-R disc, and it was burned correctly.
mine plays flawless off of both the disc and off the hard drive

Yes, mine is a slimline, and a US console as well.
Mine works fine from the disc and from the hard drive
I have also tested it with Swap Magic 3.0 and it plays
flawless with that on my old V7 as well.

you should have no problems at all with this game....end of thread.

@DoubleDwn
he's referring to HDAdvance 3.0, not HDLoader...

@monkijin
Since you have swap magic, go and download a copy of HDLoader 0.8a (the iso version) from here: http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=hd.html
