it sounds to me like you do not understand what the ss key is. The ss key is a security sector, and is different for each game. The SS key is not from the LG or from the Samsung, it is from the game disk. You have to extract it from the disk using your xbox, or you can download the .bin file. So to patch a game to burn, doesn't matter about your burner, it's all about the game.
If you have an unpatched game, why download it... I suggest joinging blackcats-games.net, its a private tracker, but you have to be willing to upload. Its a good community with a wide variety of games. Just don't be a leech.
Anyway, downlaod the .bin for an unpatched game, load the game in ss merger 1.6, load your .bin see if its compatable, if it is, merge, if it isn't, find another .bion
