Nero 6.6.1.4. burn process failure! help.

I seem to be having problems burning using Nero burning rom..wondering if neone here could help..
So i googled my problem and read some things on this forum and tried soem stuff.. updated my drive firmware...and well i found out my drive was region protected and that might have been the problem cause i got the dvds from canada. regardless. i updated firmware and drivers and stuff.
before i would get some weird errors like session fixation error and then once i did a rpc1 firmware i still got burn failures and i dont know why..even though my drive seems to be working fine with the new firmware and the log shows the booktype and things being successful..
i'll post two logs of my burn failures after updating drivers and firmware. the first log is of when i tried to burn an iso image. it said the burn failed, although i played the dvd in my dvd player and it worked fine. :-) the second log however.. it was dvd-video files and it really did fail because the video freezes and stops after the 3rd chapter or so on the dvd...
so wondering how i could get a successful burn and whati 'm doing wrong? ne help would be appreciated.. thx in advance!

Heres something on this error

90% of the time this type of error message is caused by poor media, poor power to the recorder, or an optical head needing cleaning, or a drive needing to be serviced.
But it's only 90% of the time. On a rare occasion I've seen this caused by driver conflicts. Either from other software, or drivers for the IDE Controller.
Old firmware on the recorder - Go to the recorder MFG's website to obtain the latest firmware for your recorder. (You may be able to obtain it from this link as well: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php)
Poor media - Try more than one brand of media. For example: TDK, Verbatim, Imation, Yamaha, HP, etc.
Poor IDE cable or incorrect cable - For higher end recorders these days if you use the 40pin cable you can have all sorts of unusual symptoms. It would be best to use an ATA-133 80 wire cable.
Driver conflicts - If you have or had another CD recording software installed on your system, its drivers could be conflicting with our software. This is rare for this symptom, but it does occur. Uninstall any other recording software and make sure all its drivers have been removed with it. Then reinstall Nero and make sure to use the latest version we have posted on our website.
Defective recorder - The optical head on your recorder may need cleaning or servicing. Or it's possible the circuit board on your recorder has an open coil or blown diode or resistor. Any of these could cause the error. Only solution would be to send the drive in for service to the recorder manufacturer.

hmm thanks for the quick response.
i'll try out ur suggestions.
but see, i gave the same media to a friend to see how the results were on his burner.. and it worked perfectly fine for him..
same version Nero and stuff..
so i was just wondering why things arent working for me. and why my burner is having problesm with it..
also, i was wondering myself, what the "ATAPI, detected ?" means?
is it supposed to be a question mark there? could that be nething to cause the error? just curious..

We here at AD can only offer advice on our previous experiences, it's up to the "poster" whether he/she wishes to implement the recommendations.
It wont be long before your friend starts to experience problems with 6.6.1.4.
No problems related to the ?.
Nowhere in your log is your media mentioned so that could also be a problem, what brand are you using.
