Folks:

I am still learning stage. I am using latest DVD-RB pro and CCE SP. After 10 hrs of successful encoding and burning DVD, I notice I have no audio after menu. (I have audio in menu) Any suggestion what I am doing wrong? what parameter I should look for in program setting?

I kept all intermideate files as it is. Do I have to do whole process from beging or I will able to save some time.

Thanks,

Shreeit

Did you take out any audio tracks?

To see if you unselected any audio tracks press your audio button on your dvd remote control when the movie starts.

2 things:

What audio mode are you in on your player? If you left the DVD-RB in it's "default mode", it will not dub the DTS audio. Therefore if you are selecting DTS mode your player will not see the track. To correct this, go to settings/setup and look in the special settings box, to see if there is a check by the "remove all DTS" box. If there is, uncheck it.

Next, in the same menu (settings/setup) you will see 2 boxes "Audio to Remove" and "Subtitles to Remove" Be sure you did not click on the version of audio you wish to keep. For example, if you want "English" only, ensure that everything is checked EXCEPT "English"

Hope that helps.

DTS audio takes up a lot of space on a disk, you only want to select this if you have a DTS capable player, otherwise it is a waste of space.

arniebear,

IMO if you don't have a DTS capable system, you shouldn't bother listening to a movie in surround ;)

DTS is the only way to fly.

Sorry I don't have DTS system, so I guess I got to stop watching/listening to movies.

I was just kidding, bud...

But you really don't have a DTS system? That is a shame. IMO DTS really is the best surround available. It is just so pristene, detailed, and has the best seperation. THX only wishes it could be so sweet. I would have figured that someone who is into burning film, you would have a DTS system.

Sandt38:

You are absolutly correct. I unchecked DTS and my DVD players are DTS. Do I have to encode again ~10 hrs journey or any other shorter way?

Thanks,

You could play the film in Dolby Surround, but it isn't really the same.

10 hours of encoding? My gosh man... I might take 2 1/2 hours or so but 10 hours? Just use the previously ripped file on your hard drive (to save ~10-20 minutes) and set it for the 1 click option before you go to bed. I even have IMGBurn loaded so it will even burn the .iso for me. Go to bed and start the process... wake up and have a nicely burned disc. That is awesome.

Be sure in your DVD-RB you have your YUY2() enabled. Select settings/options/AVSoptions and be sure it is checked. This is supposed to make CCE a bit faster.

I too prefer the DTS soundtrack. Unfortunately only about 1 out of 10 films offer it.
