1 quick question im gettin my 360 next week with the firmware mod and am wanderin if it will be able to play backups of NTSC games it will be a PAL machine.

So having this mod ( drive hack) this will allow you to play your backed up games now correct?
Can you play old xbox games on it as well backed up ones?
I think NTSC backups will work as long as there region free thats from what i think i understand

yeah u can play old xbox backups as well, there a very respectable site, im orderin mine next week cant wait now, defo worth the money

not sure what ya gotta do woth old xbox games but im sure ya hav to do sumthin, its sumthin im gonna hav to look into, its all new too me as ive had a ps2 for ages but givin that away, sure it wont be too hard to figure out tho

You use the ss merger method for original xbox backups as well as xbox 360 backups for a xbox 360. Please note that it can only play original xbox backups on the backwards compatibility list as well.
Also, if you were making backups for a orig xbox you dont need that ss crap like the 360.

region free games will work on any system, But as of now you can only play games that are the same region as your system. NTSC on NTSC. PAL on PAL
Front Load NES, DreamCast, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, MacBook Pro (w/ Laser Etching), iPhone 8Gb (w/ Laser Etching)

I have a Xbox 360 Japan Version with Hitachi DVD Drive...I want to back up my original game. My question is...is there any differences between SS.bin US version and Asia Version? Can I backup my Asia version game with SS from US version?
I can't get my SS.bin with my Hitachi DVD Drive :(
