Help with CD/DVD drive please

when i start my laptop up the DVD drive light starts blinking on the drive if i leave it on for about ten minute or so then put it to sleep or turn it off then back on it works fine it is a HP comp with a teac DW 224e any help will be greatly appreacated i can't find any driver updates for it

According to RPC1 there hasn't been support for this drive since 2004. Looks like Teac has abandonded it, might be time to look for a new drive.
