I have been using Imation discs --- ID OPTODISCr016.
Just recently found out I should be using something like Taiyo Yudens or something.
Anyhow should I replace all of my backups sone with imations with TYs
or just start using the TYs.

agree, Imation are a pretty cheap brand.
The TY will be much better. just MAKE SURE you get them from a reputable store as there are sites out that selling fakes.
supermediastore.com is a great store with real good prices and a 100% guarantee.

And yes they were ordered from supermedia.com (as mentioned in another afterdawn forum)..........and they just came in the mail today.

dan168 I checked that web link and by that chart its says I have 1st class media.

Excellent. Yea like steimy said, there's a lot of fakes out there, so always get them from a reputable site. If something's too cheap, it's probably not the real thing!
