i wanna get this firmware thing so i can burn games, was wondering if theres a thread any were explaning it all like how to get the firmware onto the 360 in the 1st place and wots SS

I will explain it in a nut shell

1)You need to get your firmware off your xbox dvd drive

2)You then need to take a certain part out of the firmware and inject it into the xtreme firmware

3)You need to send the xtremem firmware to your xbox dvd drive

4)You are done with the hacking.

Now that you have a general idea of what you need to do, here is a tutorial

SS are security sectors, they are like a password for each xbox game, if you do a straight copy using wxripper you wont copy the SS so you need to downlaod it and inject it.

If you have a good connection i recommend to just download your backups from www.blackcats-games.net. no need to worry about any ss patching, as all games are "patched".
