No wonder I've never got this error.. Googled it and it seems like I got a bad iso file somehow even though it unrar'd fine. Guess I'll have to redownload it and see if tha helps.

Actually, it could be your Hard Drive that's at fault, I used to get those errors all the time on a HDD that was failing, and had too many bad/damaged sectors to repair. I subsequently replaced it, as it did completely fail, and everything's been fine since, including the data I did manage to backup/salvage.

Do a scandisk and see if you can pick up any errors on your HDD.

And it COULD be a bad image file, that actually happens quite a bit to people I know, give it a re-download and see what happens

Sorry I've ended up worrying you, but I just thought it best to let you know what the 'worst case scenario' could be.
Scandisk & defrag may not help you finding any corrupt sectors though. If you want to be extra sure, then I suggest getting hold of 'Hiren's Boot CD' and running one of the appropriate Hard Disk Tools (depending on your disc manufacturer) on the drive. HDD Regenerator is a particularly good program too, which is also on Hiren's Boot CD
