Many times you have downloaded something using .torrent file you need to unrar (or unzip) the files first. So you need program WinRAR to do that.

But that is the extension of the files you have?

In that case, no.

So it is .avi. Now you need to know how you want to use it after you burn it. Do you need to make Video-DVD? Or do you have dvd player in you house what can play DivX-video files? Or have you connected you pc to your tv? If so, you can burn it as data.

1. AVI -> DVD
Guides: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/
Some good programs: ConvertXtoDVD, FilmMachine, DVDSanta or WinAVI

2. If it is DivX/XviD and your player can play it, or if you watch it only using pc. Then use Data-mode when you burn it using Nero.
(use program like AVIcodec to see is it XviD or DivX)

3. But not all of your files are .avi?
Might be that you have some image files also (.iso .bin/cue .nrg...)
Now you can use that Alcohol 120%... Well also Nero can burn images...

4. Do you have DVD-files? (Video_TS and Audio_TS folders)?
You should be able to use Nero to burn them.
But, if the files are in DVD-9 you need to use DVD Shrink to convert it to DVD-5 format. And after that you can just burn it using Nero.
