When changing from 1 cd to another, explorer still sees the first cd. Why ?

I have a problem with my PC. If I'm in windows explorer and checking the contence of a dvd/cd and then decide to change to another dvd/cd, explorer will not reconise the next dvd/cd it still displays the 1 dvd. I have tried to update the drivers of the dvd drive but window couldn't find a newer version to updated. I don't think it's the dvd burner because yesterday I was checking the contence of floppy disks and a similar thing happened before freezing.
Any help would be appreciated.

try getting it to refresh when you enter in another cd wait for a while then press F5 see if that does anything :)
