i just bought blood will tell and i would like to make a back up of it and when i put it on a disc it starts then says new game and i select that then it freezs. i am using DVD-R SONY i burned at 4x. and i am using swap magic coder plus someone help please.

well, couldn't have been simpler really.. LOL

Basically all I do for most of my games is look at the ISO size after decrypting it... if it's around the 4.35Gb mark then it's touch and go whether it'll work or not.. so sometimes I rebuild it anyway with expert to see what the NEW_ISO file turns out to be.
If it's less than 4.35 Gb then I just burn it straight to disc on good media with nero at 4x, 6x or sometimes 8x depending on my mood, LOL... the ONLY game this ever gave me problems with was "black", but that's because I didn't follow my own rules and just rebuilt it straight away.. it didn't like it and kept skipping in the FMV parts... so then burned the original ISo straight to disc and voila!!

I thought some games that's under the TOC limit has to be rebuilt anyway? That's one of the few things I didn't like about swap magic (apart from the fact that it gets annoying swapping after a while)

Yeah a few of them are like that.. but as a basic rule of thumb they should be ok if under 4.35.

What I meant to say is that with most games it should be ok if you follow that rule, but some will need rebuilding anyway.. depends on the game really. And when I say "work" I mean properly work like no skipping FMV etc.. not just booting up, as it's very rare that I don't get a game to boot - and that's out of around 250+ backups.
Basically if I burn a dvd and it doesn't work then I know it has to be rebuilt, maybe have dummy files taken out etc.

I don't have any problems with it at all.. only have to rebuild maybe 1 in every 15 games or so.. in all the backups I've done I've had maybe 10 coasters in all out of 250+ backups and most of those were down to burner/user error.
I'm gonna save getting a modchip for a console with more features/uses like the ps3 or xbox360, i'm prepared to wait :D

Lol.. 250+ backups... that's like 5 times what I got ><

Yeah I'll be waiting for the PS3 to come out.... though I won't be getting one for a few years, it's just way too expensive when it first comes out! and I'll wait for the modchip to be developed too :D
