Ok i have been modding xbox a few months and have had no trouble until the other day.... Somehow the entire C drive was erased on the hardrive leaving me with no dashboards and OS. Well thats bad enough because i couldnt do anything without thee eeprom which i did not backup to my pc.. i tried hots swappin usin xboxhdm to restore the C drive and the hardrive was destroyed lets just say. COMPLETELY. So anyone How can i use another hardrive from another xbox??? I have it ready to go in but of course the eeprom doesnt recognize it... Anyone i need ideas!!!??? please

yeah i figured that or find another xbox take the eeprom and hd out of that................. but i was hoping someone could think of an easier solution

buying a chip really isnt that bad anyways....i would reccommend them over softmod really becuz they are more reliable....

Try using xhdprepa13- connect HDD to pc, this program might repair your drive. Get it from the usual place (make sure you point to right HDD)

Try finding info at Xbox scene,xbox-hq forums or other dedicated xbox forums sites as this seems to be happening more often then not, read the tut & faq's, dont't be afraid of using the search function.

Check out my post on readding the xbox HDD keys in this forum.

That hot swap stuff will burn up your PC or HDD or both I keep warning ppl about it.

20 years computer experiance.

Yeah, you may get away with it a few times but it going to cost you a PC motherboard one of these days.
