i heard u can use gameshark to boot up backups. is this true?

I think you can only do that with certain versions of gameshark (the older ones)

i tried it with my version 2.4 once. but i havent tried it lately, and lately ive burned using DVD Decrypter so if u have any luck, let me know

It cant be done with the newer versions of Gameshark, manufactured by Fire International under the MadCatz label, as they automatically eject the disc tray, thus resetting the TOC.
You need to have an old version that was packaged with a 'dongle' (memory card-type device), and a bonus PS1 disc, and manufactured by Datel & distributed by Interact.
Even then, you'd still need a flip-top lid or a slide tool to swap discs over.

i have a AR bonus disk 02 for ps1. it boots all ps1 games so far
