now i have my 120gig HDD, how can i make the original 8 gigger usable on a standard PC?

I've never done it with the xbox HD but, since it is a standard IDE hard drive I would believe you would attach it as you normaly would. Master/Slave setting, IDE and power cables. You ever done that before?

I don't think it's that simple, because the hard drive is locked. To be sure why not check out http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php. I think I've seen a tutorial on this there.
