Hi,

Nero Burning ROM v6.6.0.13
You are a few versions behind on nero 6. Before installing use this link http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html
Run the clean tool to completely remove your current version of nero, reboot and use the links below to get the known stable version of nero.

These may have worked for you but looks like they are the ones made in Taiwan..the sony dvds made in Japan usually code out to be TY02 (or something similiar) known to be taiyo yuden media which is highly regarded for quality. I suggest purchasing some verbatims as they are another brand of top notch media. Also check sony's website as there seems to be an update for your burners' firmware which is currently:
Quote:
Recorder: <SONY DVD RW DW-D26A> Version: JYS2 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.13
And the latest might be available on their site which is version JYS3.

Slow down to 4x until you get the issue corrected. General rule is to burn at half speed for less chance of errors when dealing with video.

After you have made the corrections I suggested post back and let us know if you need additional help.

to burn or not to burn that is the question

need help w/ media read this http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/155431

Hi,
Quote:
Recorder: SONY DVD RW DW-D26A, Media type: DVD-R
Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AE1
CMC disks are considered bad disks most who have used them. (See second link in my signature for more info on reputable dvd media).
Quote:

Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR)

Here again your media seems to be the culprit. I would suggest verbatims which are very good. The sony or fuji I would use would have on the outter wrapper MIJ (made in Japan) which are very good but hard to find since CMC is the cheaper manufacturer for larger corporations.

A recent thread on illegal disks and reference CMC manufactured media http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/358064

to burn or not to burn that is the question

So that I could comment on 7.2.3.2b, I tried it to burn 3 AVI flies which I had successfully burned using version 7.0.8.2, sadly each burn was unsatisfactory so I reverted to 7.0.8.2, tried them again with success?my conclusion..7.2.3.2b was a failure when it comes to burn AVI files.

I did the following, uninstalled 7.2.3.2b, ran this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then installed 7.0.8.2 from here
