I heard the Wii could paly CD games of older consoles like TUrbo graph/Duo and Sega Genisis was that a rumor?
that takes about 30% of my intrest out of a Wii if it dose not
How will the Wii Store the games I downlaoded and how can I backup thos downlaods?
Next would be a mod wuestion how do you put downoads in that arent from nintendo :P
Dose anyone know if they can Upgrade the emluation software on it r is it kinda set in stone?
I see the downlaodable games are goign to be 4-9$ I hope the monthly fee is not alot if its 20 a hope F nintendo if they want to play 10 a game then they are woefuly unprepared for the mass alt effect (IE why pay money hand over fist when you cna downlaod it and load it yourself *L*)

ZIppyDSM : Hi,it's hard to say about most of that because nintendo hasn't released alot of info maybe it will or has been leaked but right now I can't answer.
There will be the virtual console and I asked how it would be stored as well but got no answer.In my opinion it will be stored on a remote server from nintendo.This would also make it extremely hard to hack the virtual console because the servers would be secure.

If your talking about the virtual console emulated games then the answer is yes.
I agree though I don't want to pay for old games when I could just download it free.

Oh btw it does have 512 mb internal flash memory and expansion via usb and sd.It would be enough to store virtual console games but not full new games.Unless you buy a usb hdd and knowone's sure how that will work yet.

SO bascily all they have said is that game downlaods wil be 4-9$.
And they have siad that the Internet conectivity will be free,altho I would rather have a pay shceme with 50cent -1 dollar games or a monthly limit or something...but to shell out 10 for a game and if they have sever failurs you lose that game and other small annoyance like,altho that would akin to a MMO wipe (thru a update or failure somewhere a MMO game would lose all user data)
I dont recall that happening ant time lately so mabye they can do..,they also said soemthin about game bundals are is that what theya re refering to 4-9? that would ahell of alot better...nintendo is starting to look arrgont with 4-9$ a emu game 0_o,frankly if they want 4-9 a game or bundle PLUS a monthly/yearly fee they will look no better than Sony if you pay a monthly you should get a bandwidth limit or soemthign,fr god sakes they can track your user data and tell you how long you have been on and such

Well I don't know if it will be on a server its just nintendo makes us assume things by not releasing the info we need.
If the servers go down or are under matenance that would be annoying as hell.As far as losing the game you would have a "virtual" receipt and I'm sure they would have implemented measures to ensure that won't happen.
Actually sony's online service is free! No monthly fees!And homebrew will be free as well.

No.Everything is free!
Xbox live is the one that does that.
xbox live silver is free(for the first I think)but that just for content downloads.
xbox gold cost's a monthly fee and is the only way to actually play.

its alright we will know sooner or later..it'd be ncie if sony could off set the cost of most games and servers (MMO and such) sicne the PS3 is 200 more than it should be and the games are 10-30 more than they should be it would be better than the monhtly "I dont care how long your on you all pay the same flat high rate" that MMOs and other online games want to charge.
but meh I dont see the monthly fee for MMOs and high bandwidth games going away anytiem soon...
I think if the WII dose have free only content then the download content will be 2 to 5 times what it realy should be.
the PS3's online content I dont know I heard they want to make soemthign liek LIVE and have user data and stistics where everyoen can see and have a conuimty around it bring it from the depths of basic nethood that the PS2 is.
but when you see one foot on the ground where the other will kick you is anyones guess 0-o

Nintendo has stated the Wii will be sold for under 25,000 Yen which is roughly US$250. A lot of people (including Forbes http://www.forbes.com/digitalentertainment/2006/05/11/nintendo-mi... ) expect the Wii to sell for less than $200
Nintendo has also said they are going to be selling games for under $60
In the price war, Nintendo obviously has a clear lead with a console starting price at less than half of the X360 and one third the price of a PS3.

actually, Iwata said that he can't imagine any Nintendo titles over 50 dollars.

I posted a thread and some people told me that they heard that Wii will be able to take an external hard drive. It wont be too long for someone to make an alternate emulator and possibley alternate firmare to run roms or backups off of the hard drive or a DVD.

MMMmmm in any case the WII will have more power the the PS2 and Cube,and it wil be cheaper game and system wise compared to the others so in all its a easy win for 2nd palce I wouldnt dout that it could go number 1 simpley becuse theres not enough 360 fans/systems/games to fight what the WII is,and sonys system is riducloues price wise.....
Besides it noting getting the PS2 only games I cant see why not to get one *L*

Hey bro,Yeah I agree. I mean I'm a ps3 type of guy but the wii has alot to offer.I would just get the wii If that's what you like.Just think $250 for wii.That will leave you alot of money for games and other goodies.
For me either get a ps3 or wii.Skip x360 lol.Sorry, but 360 has nothing to offer like wii and ps3 do.I know your probably leaning towards the 360 but I have one.It's ok, not more.
You know from this very thread I have always spoken the truth but x360 is losing some steam bro.

Dont get me wrog the 360 is ok,its jsut 2 thigns keep me from havieng it in my top 5 one is the hardware but thats soon fadeing the next issue I ahve with it is the Backwards comaplity since I am a odd gamer and get dinky random games (off off brand rpgs and the like) the 360 will only paly 40% of all the Xbox titles,plus I like to use a cheat device that will fix faulty and worse features some of the off off brand games have *L*
The 360 is nearly last on my list,the becuse of price has realy grabed me that and new games and new controller you jsut cant do better,the PS3 is nice but.....sony is jsut to full of themselfs right now and I dont like the idea of thorwing half a grand at a system.
I am still tryign to find a nice real time grammer/spell checker
frankly I dotn care what it is I just need one *L*
Thunderbirds spell checkign dose a ok job but it screws up simple mispelling to much it cant do
soemthigns and other simple mistakes......sigh
I finaly got my comp running with the new mobo a nice workign DFI N#F3 ultra god it hated nearly all my ramm >< these odd/cheap induax seem to work ok and at 1GB at 400MHZ dual channle I cant complain might tag 200 worth of ramm later this year but I jsut kiled 50 on gettign ramm heat spreaders and 2 HD fans and acouple of USB cables,still ahve yet to put my stuff in the case stil have it in workbench *L*

yeah I mispell too.Hey, just use "word" if your have it.But when your typing fast who gives a hell.Everyone does it.
Yeah I have the 360.It's cool and runs great but it's not as shocking and great as I expected.You know what I mean? It was ok ,but not spectacular.
Really ps3 is alot of money but it has alot of stuff too.Wii is cheap but has alot of innovation.Your choice.I hope halo 3 comes out so I will have something for x360 that matters lol.But I still go against 360 because it's just so.....The same.

I didnt get to paly Hao 2 alot it did feel a bit less than 2 however its still one of the better fps sereis to date ^^ at least its treated like a fps (grumbles about metroid) *L*
the 360 is neat but not neat enough for me to kill 400 in one setting.
the WII is net enough for me to kil 360$ if I can get Zelda TWP and Metroid prime 3 with it :3
hell I jsut taged MP2 and ZOE and thinking of taging KH1 is I can tag it under 15 with s/hing I got MP2 new for 16 :P it can be done I love ebay *L*
altho I get annoyed at the new game sellers tryign to make 2X off a game jsut becuse its sealed 0-o

well I play halo 2.It's a good game but you won't be shocked.Although like you said it is one of the best.
When you say Kh1 do you mean kingdom hearts 1?
Yeah I sell stuff on ebay, but in general I let the bidder choose how much it's worth.It's sad to see people taking advantage of ebay in thAT WAY.

altho I dont know if I will ahve the extra to tag it or not.
you think EBay is bad at least they have to say what the shiping is on the page even if its burried in the page amazon can soemtiems throw you for a loop on shiping.
I also ninja bid and bid in the last minute :P
it just saves that way,altho you have to be willing to baby sit the biding ><

Dude kingdom hearts 1&2 is awesome.Probably the best rpg Ive ever played!
No I like ebay.That's what I was saying.I sell stuff on ebay.
Screw amazon lol it's bad news unless your shopping for books.
For ebay that's what I do is bid in the last minute.Program's out there do it for me lol

actualy for soem thigns if amazon would show shiping info on the page or via zip code it would be alot better as well as give shiping discounts when you by more than 200 stuff at a time I tried to tag soemthigns off it and the shiping was 80 (280 total) wheres the saveings in that?
Amazon aint bad but it could be ALOT better,Ebay needs more polishing but for what it is its good I jsut see alot of over chargeing on shiping mostly(20$ to mail a game..I dont think so....) but ebay makes alot of money of sellers relsiitng items so they wont enforce it much unless a larger coperation coems and and tells them that soem sellers are breakign a law or soemthing *L*
