When we talking about flashing the firmware for the Xbox 360.

Do we mean the cd-rom drive? or the actual internal hdd?

when you flash, you flash the dvd drive of the xbox 360. As a result it can read back-ups of your games onto DVD+R dual layer disks.

Just to point out, there is no internal HDD(although there is a rather big memory chip that stores the dashboard/settings etc etc)

The hardest from my personaly perspective is taking the xbox apart.

After that I dont think I should encounter any problems.
