Ok guys, be gentle.
I want one of these XBOX 360 but I don't know which on is good or will benefit me. I see these "Core" XBOX's for $299 and some around 4 or 5 hundred, does it matter besides the game that it comes with?
Also, can I change the harddrive to say...250gb or so? and if so will I have to ghost it first or is there some sort of installation cd?
I will probably have a million questions to ask but I will try to keep at a minimum.
A big thanks guys.

There are 2 types of 360s, the cor that is $299 and the premium that is $399. The difference is that the $299 doesnt have anything besides the nonhdtv hookups, power cord and 1 wired controller. The $399 has a wireless controller, hdtvand standard tv cord, a 20 GB HDD, and a wireless Headset. Those accessories seperate cost about $230 so it is recommended to get the premium as you save big. Also you should look through these forums about how to mod your 360 so you can backup your games if your interested! Also, those bundles with the games are just that, bundles with games and nothing cosmetically different. There is one noted difference between the core and premium though, the dvd eject faceplate is chrome on the premium, and the core 299 dollar one has a white eject tray.

Datel are releasing a new HD with more memory (next week I think), that is the only replacement HD that is compatible with the 360 - except the standard one.
There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who know binary, and those who don't

I think it is just a cheaper replacement and not any bigger, because MS would not license a product that was bigger than their own HDD, although I could be wrong i would hardly doubt it, and yes the HDD is detachable. there is a push button on your hdd you push and the hdd comes off the side very easily.

Please respond!! is it easier than it sounds?
