Hi guys,

a bit of help please Crying or Very sad

I have a modded (matrix infinity)slimline ps2 with the latest firmware upgrade.

I would like to play my psx import games on it. It used to work in the past on the same configuration. When I start it up now there's no problem: I can select a game, codes and choose to start with codes, however when its supposed to boot the game it wont start. without the gameshark the games start up perfectly. I'v retried with different gameshark versions including lite but all with the same effect. I also tried with deleting the gameshark files from the memory card, but nothing works.

please help me out

You do realise that you need to be using a PSX specific Gameshark, and NOT a PS2 GameShark?

Yes I know I have to use a psx specific gameshark. I burned several with Nero and they al work however when it says insert disc and press...

I insert the disc, the screen goes black and nothing happens. It used to work just fine so I really would like to know what to do against it
