please move this if thi sis in the incorrect spot. What is the best way to test my laser out to see if its playing burned games correctly or if just 90% of my media is trash. I get skipping on all but 2 games. kh2 and my prince of persia 3.. and actually imn not sure if i get skipping or not on ps3 . the osund may be a little low or somehting. but then again when i played that last i was half sleep. I dont even know if i saved. So anyway How would i determine i need to tweak my laser somehow.

also i do admit my laser seems to make more noise when i play prince of persia 3. it reads the outside edge very hard seemingly and i hear it from time to time or a lot when im playing it. could it purely just be how the game is made? I am still waiitng for my order of vertabrim (i think that swhat they are called) to reburn and test all games. the ones i have now are tdk 16x. and i assume thats the source of all my problems

don't double post in your own thread - you are off to a bad start by breaking the forum rules...

use different media - TDK 16x aren't the best, 8x media is a lot easier for PS2 to read

Also im just tryign to get one thing straight. Will lower quality dvds such as the tdk weaken my lense?
Beause i may just stop playing til i get my 8x verts in the mail

The lower the quality, the harder the laser has to work to read the disc.. thus sending your laser to the grave quicker.

i luckily got the dvds today. the same day i made this post. i recopied one game so far and its going perfect with this media. thanks a lot :) i suppose my ps2 will be fine
