So I have a torrent that is at about 92% done, but when i attempt to connect i can't connect to any of the seeders, just peers. The peers can upload, but have no new pieces for me to download. There are over 4000 seeders in the swarm, but I can't connect to any of them. Is there something wrong on my end or is something wrong with the torrent? All my other torrents are working just fine, it's just this torrent that is giving me problems.
are you using a public tracker? If so i suggest you try get into some of the private trackers as you can get direct help from the users and forum members.
So all your other torrents are wroking fine. What client are you using?
Does it say somewhere when you click on the torrent (in your client) that there is an error?
I do generally try to use private trackers, but some things aren't on the private trackers i'm
a member of, and it's hard to join those sites at this point, as most of them are closed to
new members. This particular torrent is a public tracker, but not the only one that is d/l.
The torrent doesn't give any error. It says the tracker is OK and neither my DHT or NAT
address are firewalled, and i'm getting great download speeds on my working torrents, so
i know that's not the issue.
A friend told me something about how if a file gets stuck at "X" percent for a long time
and you aren't connecting to seeders that it's a fake, but i don't know if that's true or not.
Although, i did try downloading a different torrent of the same file and the same thing
happened (at a different percentage). So maybe for some reason there are some fakes for
this file floating around on the internet?
