Greetings
I recently bought a new Plextor drive and while installing it on my computer, hooking it up and stuff, I got stumped with these audio wire stuff. Are they necessary to be hooked up? I don't have a sound card, I use onboard audio, Realtek 97 audio (windowsXP). I currently have my DVD drives hooked up via analog audio to the motherboard, then i read in the Plextors manual that it doesn't use analog, so do i need to purchase a digital audio output connector for it? Confused a bit. Can someone explain what purpose the digital and analog output connector serve for me and if I need it, I'd really appreciate it.

:)
