So I was pokin around one of my stompin grounds a couple days ago and came accross an interesting post and wanted to know what you guys think? Heres the link to the official story.

I say this is BS because if they did manage to get homebrew on the 360, it would totaly replace the dash and you would not have any 360 dash still operational. Second, noone knows where the actual dash is stored, since the 360 does not need a HDD to boot. I cry foul on this and clame they used photoshop. Even TheSpecialist is sceptical!

it could be possible, but here's my questions, where do you get a 500GB HD? next, the 'images' behind the shutdown blade; since you can upload your own pictures to the xbox360 to use as a background whats to stop someone from creating an image that looks to be a modified dash and placing it as their background, taking a screen shot and then uploading it?? also, those are N64 game box pictures in the shaded area of the 2nd image. are they claiming that 360 can/will be able to emulate a 64? when there isn't even really a reliable N64 Emulator for a pc? i'm all for that stuff if it's real, but i think is doctored. somehow. but if it's legit cool beans, i still ain't fuxin w/ my $400 crap unless i buy another one as a backup.

Bah, i don't know that pricing lol....anyway...i've never really found a good 64 emulator, or maybe it was just bad roms, either way, it would mean cracking the OS of the 360 as well as coding something that can run on the 360 like project64.....it's still fuzzy in my opinion. lets wait until there's more confirmation (maybe a video of it in progress) stills are still shaddy in my mind.

I think it might be this MC360 App.http://blackbolt.x-scene.com/
That could be why it has the Xbox 360 blade on the side. Im pretty sure you can run N64 games and other emulators off of the MC360 thing. That would also explain why there is a Avalaunch dashboards in the backgroud too,I think this might be a screenshot of an origianl xbox using the MC360 application

it could be legit though everybody ruling it out but xbox-scene.com dont post BS, i think one of the modders know something we dont running the n64 emulator isnt easy especially since that means homebrew on the 360....and yes the n64 emulators work good on pc, the only game i have had a problem with are perfect dark and goldeneye but other than that all other games work great....

The only probelm I have about all this is....
1. If they got avalaunch and PJ64 on the 360, this means they had cracked the thing a couple months ago at least! Talk about holdin your tongue!
2. No real proof from screen shots only, maybe a video would have been a better medium.
3. How did they crack the HDD code and allow for the 360 to accept an non M$ HDD. Even the Specialist hasn't done it yet!!!
4. The big problem I have is waiting another 2 days to see if the July 4th release of all this is true! I hate waiting, especially if it turns out to be BS!

There are good N64 emulator for Original XBOX called Surreal64. It plays almost every game perfectly ( Except Expansion Pack Only games as the orig xbox doesnt have enough memory as the 360 has way more than enough). Also, I am skeptical about that because It would take a long time to create a good working emu for the 64 on the 360. It took about 2 years to ferfect the Orig 64 on xbox and its still not done.

I would really like to win one of those. But how do you install them? Do you have to void your warranty?
