I've been using DVD Shrink to back-up my DVDs but it rips them to VOB files. How do you rip the DVD into .avi?

I recommend SPAM Platinum which can easily burn dvd (vob) files to almost all video and audio files like vob to avi, mpeg, wmv, mp4, m4a, mp3 etc.
