Is it possible to rip from a home made DVD?

I recently put some family videos from VHS onto a DVD. I want to rip that DVD onto my computer. I downloaded Magic DVD Ripper and it said it couldn't init decoder. However, it does work with a Commercial DVD.

Is it possible to rip from a home made DVD, if so how? I'm sorry if I sound stupid, when it comes to computers I am. :)

Just use DVD Decrypter ;)

Im pretty sure ur home movie has no protection on it, so it should rip without a hitch.

yes, i use dvddecrypter to rip my home movies all the time, it works very well.

No protection on the DVD - so should even be able to copy it just in Windows Explorer.
