hey people, i was just thinking, is it healthy for PS2 Read DVD+RW (IMATION) game backups?, I am talking about Rewritable DVD's, not normal DVD+R's. One of my friends also told me that it is not very healthy for the PS2 Laser. I have a PAL PS2, The big model, which i bought back in 2004. I don't remember the model number, but it was in the last line of BIG PS2's, then the SlimOnes came. :),

No it's not good for the laser. You'll be lucky if your PS2 even reads it in the first place, and Imation's not even that good a brand... stick with DVD-R 8x, they are the best for your laser, and have a look here for what you should use: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/240341

thanks for the info people, i really appriciate all ya help. But i live in a kinda remote place on earth and chances of finding certain brands are very limited. i came across this IMATION : I-CRYSTAL which seem to work really well on PS2. no getting stuck stuff etc, but since ya guys told me Imation is not a good brand, i should start looking for VERBATIM.
