Burning games on X1 Speed!!!!

Hello
I have trouble loading backup games with the Hitachi drive, it takes me a few tries to load a game, when i tried to load Burnout it took me like 40 minutes to load it. i tried to burn it on X1 instead of 2.4X but when i choose the option in CloneCD it burnes it in 2.4 after i selected X1. i am using Verbatim DL DVD`s.

sounds like a burner prob...how old is your burner?

thats cause verbatims dont use x1 they use x2.4

I recently changed my LG burner to a pioneer DRV-111, but i think you are right, the verbatim DL is only X2.4 speed.

I was having the same problem today. I kept on selecting 1x on my pioneer 111D with Verbatim and it kept burning at 2.4. I guess thats all Verbatim supports.

don't select 1x, 2.4 is fine. Hitachi's only work with pioneer 111D.

where do u guys get your verbatim dvd dl?
i can get 10 for 35 bucks at a local store
i dont wanna buy media over the internet

check out ebay they have a good variety.
just type "verbatim double layer"
