Ok you predicted it, the wave of noobs after the UP Modchip, or 2.5/2.6 downgrade.
I just would like a simple answer of what program that will let me play 2.6 UMD's on my 1.5 PSP. I have GTA and would like to play it. Which program will allow it?

i tried man, syphonfilter,tombraider, hardly any 2.60 umds work. iv rented syphon/f and im gonna dump it and try and change the prx files as i hear it will work.

You can also use Devhook or the MPH Game Loader.

I tried to find out who Humma is dawg... The dude over @ Psix who said he knew wouldn't tell me. I have a feeling it might be MPH, but MPH has dropped out of the race for the past 4 months. Humma's better than that! WTF?!

Yea, I don't know. MPH comes and goes so who knows.
It's funny, MPH inspired and came out with the downgrader and firmware launcher first and now everyone gives props to Booster and Dark_Alex.

why not? MPH only made the downgrader possible on the 2.00. If he had never introduced that, I guarantee we'd STILL have at least a 2.60 downgrader. Once they got that working, maybe they would've gotten an idea for a 2.00 downgrader AFTER that and then ppl would be complaining about how ppl don't give Dark_AleX, Mathiuelh, and Yoshi credit for making the 2.60 downdater and inspiring the creation of the 2.00 downgrader.
I have heard about how MPH comes and goes, but I have only seen him release a few things way back and that's been it. He hasn't released anything since like February or March. It's too bad; MPH is good.
(btw, for those of you who don't know, MPH stands for "Making People Happy".)

Nah, I didn't mean that they don't deserve props now. I just think it's funny how the "best" developers change over the peroid of a couple of months.

Devs are only the 'best' b/c of what they can offer at the time. Unfortunately, it's a term that's used loosely. Better programmers have yet to be discovered. I believe there are devs out there that will put Booster and all them to shame when they release their apps.
Now ppl will ask why I decided to Booster's name instead of any other dev's name. It's b/c his name comes to mind when I think of hackers. Currently, he's the best.
It's too bad all the best of the best couldn't or wouldn't make an all-star team together and release something incredible. Like 2.71 emu w/ an on-board cup holder or something... :o

Yea, I know what you're saying. But, the PSP has only been out for a year so far and look what kind of programs there are, so who knows what will happen in the next 8 months. It can only get beter.

mait iv been askin that question, it seems that you need to change the prx files, so if you got the game dump it and ask how to and where to get these prx files, i would help you but im stuck like you.

i tried umd genesis, mph gameloader , devhook40, runumd v01,man i tried the bloody lot i dont know how my psp aint bricked yet with all that crashin. 2.60 umds dont work unless you dump and change those bloody prx files or till devhook supports fw2.60.
