What DVD drive should I expect to get inside of it? Phillips, Hitachi-LG, or Toshiba-Samsung? I want to know how good of a chance I have at hacking the firmware, I don't want to keep returning 360s to try to get the correct drive. Thanks.

You want to get the toshiba samgung drive..its the best one to hack
it will tell you lot numbers on that site and you just go to your local store and get one with the same lot number as the one on that site

0619 isnt a samsung drive...so dont get 0619..its a mistake
i got a 0616 and it was indeed a toshiba samsung drive

you want to know how not to void the warrenty?
well that sticker that voids it is under the faceplate
when you tske out the faceplate you will see the sticker
ok...get a hairdryer and put it on max heat and max blow...heat up the sticker and carefully take it out with a pair of tweezers...it will come off entirely...when you put it back on...heat it up again so the sticky part will go back on the case

Thank you very much for your help. I knew the Samsung was the easiest to hack so that's what I was looking for. Looks like I'll stop over at Circuit City or Best Buy and have a look at the cases. I'll just pick one up and pick up a pack of DVD+R DL discs and give this a try. Also, thank you for the sticker trick, that may be useful if I do indeed mess something up. One last question, where is the Lot # located so I'm not examining the entire box looking for it?

they didnt have a 0620
i chrcked...highest was 0619

Yeah, I see the highest being 0619 as well. I would try the firmware flash now but I don't have my PCI SATA card yet, ordered that Sunday, ordered the DVD+R DL discs on Monday, and I'll get the 360 when those items arrive.
