Hey... I'm thinking of getting a psp and downloading the game myself... i'd like to ask if theres a way to have the latest psp version and still be able to download games onto my memory stick? Also with mp3's can you just put them straight on the memory stick?

You can get the modchip so you can play homebrew/backups and still have the features of the latest firmware.

Yes you just put your tracks in the correct folder on your memory stick.

IF you lucky enougy to get a psp without 2.6 pre installed on it then you won't have to buy the mod chip since Dark Alex had released the downgrader for 2.5/2.6(updated). or if you lucky enough to get a 2.0 then it should be easy. or even lukier get a straight out 1.o or 1.5 lol

Yes but he doesn't want to downgrade, he wants the latest firmware and be able to play backups, so the modchip is the only choice
