parts currently have :
amd athlon 3200
Geforce 7300 GS OC

its not much but its a start. Planning on getting a new mother board that can actually let me play around with my CPU's voltage settings, this stock motherboard is crap. Getting a new cooler for the Cpu, and a RAID or SATA harddrive.

I'm doing a bit of research, went to the sli zone over at nvidia, and checked up on power supplies. I curretnly have a 600W power supply. i found this over at slizone

"If this is way over your head and too technical, don't sweat it - NVIDIA has a certification program that qualifies power supplies (SLI-Ready) that ensure 500W total output, 30A on the 12V rails, and 2 PCI Express connectors for your dual graphics cards. "

Now i have a 600 W but I'm not sure how to check if it can handle 30A. this is what my power supply says:

Vac~ Voltage | Current | FREQUENCY
Input 115/230V | 10A/5A | 60/50Hz

Vdc +3.3 +5 +12 | -12 -5 +5SB | BLK ORG GRY
MAX DC 30A 50A 26A | 1.0A 1.0 3.0A | COM R-ON PG
OUTPUT

Can someone please verify if my power supply meets Mad Mod Mike's requirement.

As for my Ram i have a SAmsung 512 ddr and some weird ram with an unknown manufacturer but same specs as the samsung. SLi zone says the SLi ready ram are from Corsair, Kingston or OCZ. Will i need to buy new ram or will mine do?

I'm trying to build a Budget SLi rig.
I will link all the parts i intend on buying.

Video cards arent SLI and you wont be able

with that board, try an ASUS, their BIOS lets you do more than others.

I linked a thread (a long one, so I started it near some of the newer builds being discussed) read it all if ya really wanna get a feel of the new stuff. For what you are talking about I'd be more inclined to buy 1 really good graphics instead of 2 good graphics, there isn't relly a big difference unless you want to add another $1000 to your bill.

ok first off you are building a sli comp right? well the video card you picked is at least an invidia card yes; But it is not an sli video card; two your cpu fan you are buying truthfully sucks ass its a stock waste of money garbage crap! you are getting a nice 939 socket mobo(any mobo than a hp or dell crap is a good mobo) aftermarket is better, but back to the fan i recommend you use the zalman fan CNPS7000A-AlCu google it to find it cheaper than tiger direct i hate them they kinda tend to rip with their bs rebates google and youll find that price without rebate your 600w ps is great and will work but i recommend that you upgrade to a amd x2 3800+ or lower and you will have a nice machine

seeing how you were on tigerdirect.ca, you should check out cancomputer.com, ncix.com, pcvonline.com, canadacomputers and lucomputers.com for good canadian sites.
